TESAMORELIN (TESA)

Tesamorelin is a synthetic growth hormone–releasing factor (GHRF) analogue that stimulates the body’s growth-hormone pathway. It has been studied extensively in relation to body composition and abdominal/visceral fat.

Tesamorelin is FDA-approved under specific formulations for reducing excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. The FDA labeling specifically states that it is not indicated for general weight-loss management.
